We raised a $12M Series A to help enterprises scale brand-compliant video with AI
We started Capsule with a simple belief: video storytelling should be as easy and scalable as creating a presentation in Powerpoint or a design in Canva. Not just for creatives — but for all teams in an organization who need to communicate: marketing, comms, success, sales, and media teams.
‍
Over the past few years, we’ve been building toward that vision. And today, we’re excited to announce our $12 million Series A to help us get there faster.
‍
This round was led by Innovation Endeavors, with participation from HubSpot Ventures and angel investors including Emery Wells (Founder & CEO, Frame.io), François Dufour (CMO, Augment & Twilio), Karim Atiyeh (Co-founder, Ramp), Gil Lara (Co-founder, Sprout Social), Robert Paige (Creative Director, Instacart), Laura Jones (CMO, Instacart), along with our existing backers at Swift.vc, Human Ventures, and Bloomberg Beta.
While the “low-end” of video creation has become massively democratized over the past decade thanks to tools like Capcut and Loom, professional grade, tasteful video content is still profoundly difficult to scale. We think Capsule has figured this out, and we’re excited to announce our lead investment into their Series A.

The first brand governance tool for video
If you’ve worked at a large company, you know the challenge: video is in demand everywhere, but creating it is still slow, expensive, or bottlenecked by limited access to video editors.
‍
While prosumers and creative professionals have countless video editing tools to choose from, large companies—where brand consistency is crucial—have no choice but to outsource their video needs to agencies, rely on overburdened in-house teams, or worse, just skip video altogether.
‍
Capsule changes this with a new concept for video called motion design systems—essentially, collections of easy-to-use, branded motion graphics. When paired with Capsule’s AI-powered video editor, they enable anyone—especially those without editing experience—to create professional, on-brand videos.
‍
For enterprises that means:
- Video turnaround times go from weeks to days or even hours
- Video production costs reduced by up to 90%
- Scalable, on-brand video creation for the first time
Motion design systems enforce brand guidelines by default—so every video stays perfectly on-brand, no matter who creates it.
Top tech and media companies are going “video first” with Capsule
In the past year, Capsule has been adopted by some of the world’s most forward-thinking companies—including HubSpot, Instacart, SBG, and ServiceNow.
They’re not just making more videos—they’re rethinking how their entire company communicates, with video at the core. Here’s what a few of them have to say:
Capsule is solving a real production challenge for our team, helping us scale video content that's on-brand while giving us time back for creativity and innovation. It isn't just another AI tool, it is really enhancing our marketing operations and helping us get more done with less.‍
—Kipp Bodnar, CMO, HubSpot
We’ve embraced AI as our superpower and continue to experiment and deploy it at scale to enhance efficiency. Capsule has been an impactful tool for us by enabling cross-functional teams to create on-brand videos without relying heavily on our Creative Studio resources.
—Laura Jones, CMO, Instacart
With Capsule, we suddenly went from a team of a few videographers to hundreds of video creators across multiple departments. Sales Enablement, Instructional Designers, Digital Media, and People teams are all using Capsule to create their own videos for interviews, exec messages, and testimonials.

What’s next
This funding helps us double down in two big areas:
- Product — more real-time collaboration tools, smarter AI features to speed up workflows, and easier ways to manage motion design systems within Capsule.
- Growing the team — we’re hiring across sales, marketing, product, and engineering. Join us!
To our customers, investors, and early believers—thank you.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
