We're incredibly excited to announce that Capsule, an AI-assisted platform to help enterprise content teams create on-brand video at scale, has secured $4.75M in seed funding, bringing our total funding to $6.75M. The round comes on the heels of our recent beta launch of the popular generative AI-powered video editor. We'll use the investment to make key hires in engineering, product design, marketing, and to rapidly commercialize the product.

Short-form video is by far the highest performing format for businesses to tell stories. It’s set to grow faster than any other format in 2023, with over 90% of marketers planning to increase or maintain their investment in video creation, according to Hubspot. Capsule exists to lower the friction in the video production process, helping teams create far more video while saving time and money by reducing their dependency on agencies and creative professionals.

Despite the large number of video tools in the market, the needs of enterprise teams have largely been ignored. Ask anyone in marketing, comms, sales or success and they’ll tell you video outperforms all other formats, but they’ll also tell you they don't get to use it often enough because of how costly and complex it is to make.

Capsule ships with critical features for enterprise teams: an AI-assisted video editor that requires no expertise, design systems that enforce brand standards, shared asset management, a collaborative dashboard, UGC video collection and developer APIs for integrating with enterprise workflows. This is why companies like Snowflake, TED, Salesforce and The Wall Street Journal are flocking to Capsule.

The demand for video far exceeds the supply of professional video editors. Our vision for the future is one where anyone on the team can be creative and leverage the power of video to make an impact. The highest performing employees of the future will be creators.

Investing in this round are Human Ventures, Swift Ventures, Clark Valberg’s Tiferes Ventures (Founder of InVision), Behind Genius Ventures, Array Ventures, and Bloomberg Beta. Notable angel investors include Amjad Masad (CEO, Replit), Arash Ferdowsi (CTO, Dropbox), Kyle Parrish (Head of Sales, Figma), Mike Mignano (ex-Head of Audio & Video, Spotify), Roy Raanani (Co-Founder, Chorus.ai) and Sahil Lavingia (Founder, Gumroad).

Most importantly we'd like to thank all our customers who have supported us with their feedback and dollars. Without you, this round of funding would not have been possible. We're so excited and honored to have the chance to build tools that make your lives easier and positively impact your businesses.

Thank you!!

-Champ, Joseph & the entire team at Capsule.
